of help from lots of parents, all things are
going very well.
- Special
Funding Requests –
- There was a discussion about the need
to pay a reasonable stipend to Lisa Thomas for directing
SCAPA Lafayette’s Twelve Angry Women and a general discussion of the need to develop a policy
on payment of compensation to guest directors,
choreographers, teachers, etc. in the future. Following an explanation of
the special circumstances provided by the Twelve Angry Women/Men producers for FOAS and a revised production
budget, Lynsey Sugarman moved and
JoAnn Sykes seconded, to approve the revised production budget, including the payment of a stipend of $1,500
to Lisa Thomas, and the motion passed unanimously.
- The President reviewed a proposal
submitted by SCAPA Bluegrass faculty member,
Pam Draper, requesting matching funds from FOAS for a grant to purchase
various computer technologies and teaching enhancements. Due to timing
issues, the proposal was circulated for input from key FOAS officers prior to
its submission and Marilynn Cunningham and Mrs. Draper were pleased to announce at this
FOAS meeting that the grant was received! Upon the motion of Lynsey
Sugarman, seconded by JoAnn Sykes, FOAS, through unanimous vote of the members present at this meeting, approved
the payment of matching funds for the
Technology Grant to be received in the required matching amount of $4,848.00.
- Announcement of Next Meeting: Due to SCAPA’s participation in the Kentucky Christmas
