FOAS Board Meeting Minutes
4/19/2009 6:30 p.m.

Present at the meeting: Kathryn Warnecke Ryan, Cindy Bennett, Carolyn Waterbury-Tieman, Verity Mathews, Kim Lee, Joy Henderson, Joanne Sykes, Tracy Lovan, Kerri Peterson

1. Call to order at 6:40
2. Minutes – Approved
3. Treasurer’s Report – Tracy Lovan, reviewed current status. Several bills for rights to be paid and teacher grants. Profit of $1720.24 on 12 Angry Men. Mill Girls profit $2,981 and Dance SCAPA profit 5,018.48. Information on Fiddler will be available next month. Discussion of teacher grants.
4. President’s Report – Discussion of teacher grants.
5. Principal/Faculty Report: Marilyn Cunningham – not present.
6. LHS Liaison, Joy Henderson:
   • SBDM: Candidate forms due May 4th. Elections on May 5,6, and 7th
     
   • Underclassman Honors Night May 5th at 6:30
     
   • Seniors Honors Night May 12th 6:30
   • Prom May 9th
     
   • Senior Inspiration May 17th
     
   • Graduation Rupp Arena June 5th at 4:00
7. Productions Report –
   • Discussion of upcoming productions and how the production selection process works currently and FOAS involvement with this.
     
   • Joanne Sykes asked why not all schools paid the same price for school show.
     
   • As a result of both of these issues it was suggested that a work group be established to work on policies and procedures related to productions.
8. Arts Facilitator – Carolyn Waterbury-Tieman
• New Business:
  • 4th Grade Orientation May 20th at 6:00
  • Back to School Ice Cream Social August 9th 2-5
  • Back to School Picnic/Silent Auction. Suggested that an Innisbrook booth be set up at this.
9. Announcement of Next Meeting: May meeting set for Monday May 18th at 6:30.
