Site-Based Decision Making (SBDM) Meetings

SBDM Committee Meetings

SCAPA Bluegrass SBDM Committees are having their very first meetings on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 6:00pm. This is a terrific way for you to get involved in school governance. SBDM Committees meet once per month on the 4th Tuesday of each month. We need your participation on these committees!

The following 6 committees are meeting on Tuesday evening:

Budget Committee
Chaired by Marilynn Cunningham
This committee reviews all budgetary expenditures made by SCAPA Bluegrass and makes recommendations to the SBDM Council regarding budgetary expenditures.

Climate and Communications Committee
Chair is currently vacant
This committee generates ideas for improving the general school climate, oversees the school social fund, and makes recommendations to the SBDM Council regarding improving communications in and about the school.

Curriculum Committee
Chaired by Carla Beranek
This committee oversees the Comprehensive School Improvement Process, creates the master schedule, and reviews textbook adoptions and reviews proposals for new or revised courses.

Equity
Chaired by Charlotte Sebastian
This committee reviews and oversees SCAPA Bluegrass policies and procedures relating to all facets of student and staff equity and makes recommendations to the SBDM Council regarding ways to improve equality amongst all SCAPA Bluegrass constituents.

Professional Development
Chaired by Sherrie Graham-Greene
This committee oversees the SCAPA Bluegrass staff training and development process. The committee makes recommendations to the SBDM Council for specialized staff development sessions based upon identified areas of improvement as outlined in the CSIP (Comprehensive School Improvement Plan).

Technology
Chaired by Pam Draper
This committee reviews the technology budget and technology needs of the students and faculty at SCAPA Bluegrass and makes recommendations to the SBDM Council for budgetary expenditures in the area of technology.
