Bluegrass Back to School Picnic and Silent Auction

The Back to School Picnic will take place on Sunday August 26th from 2:00-5:00 pm in the school's multi-purpose room.
There will be pizza and inflatable games courtesy of Air Time Inflatables.
We ask that parents bring the following items to the picnic:

  • 4th grade = one or two 2 liter bottles of soda
  • 5th grade = cookies or brownies
  • 6th grade = snack crackers / chips
  • 7th grade = fruit (bananas, apples, oranges, grapes etc.)
  • 8th grade = paper plates, napkins, cups

Beginning at 1:30 until 5:30 we need 5-6 parents helping in 1 hour shifts. If you can take a shift please let Kerri Peterson know. 223-6791 or kerrick.pete@insightbb.com

Back-to-School Picnic Auction Items Needed

  • If you know someone who owns a business and may be willing to donate an item to our silent auction, please contact Terri McGraw at 621-3285. The auction will take place during the Bluegrass back-to-school picnic on Aug. 26. Items are needed by Aug. 21. Some examples might be:
    • Babysitting Services
    • Raking Leaves, Snow Removal
    • House Cleaning
    • If someone has UK tickets to perhaps give up a game
    • If someone has a 2nd home for rental to give a free weekend
    • If someone has ties to the Lexington Legends Baseball
    • If someone has ties to the Cincinnati Reds baseball

Clay Classes at Kentucky Mudworks for Children and Adults

  • Classes are 6 weeks long and meet once each week for 2 hours. Adult classs fees include 6 weeks of instruction, 6 hours of studio time outside of class to practice, 50# of clay, up to 1200 cubic inches of glaze firing space , and use of our class glazes. Children’s class fees include 6 weeks of instruction, clay and tools used in class, glaze and firing of all work. Classes start every 6 weeks year round. Prices range from $160 - $192. Birthday Recital at The Singletary Center for the Arts

September 12th at 7:30pm in the recital hall of The Singletary Center for the Arts. The admission is free. Folks who attended this last year said it was wonderful! Tedrin will perform with a variety of other artists, both vocalists and instrumentalists to create an evening of beautiful music. Treat yourself to a thoroughly enjoyable evening as Tedrin celebrates his 2nd Annual Birthday Recital Extravaganza.
